Took me Daytona for it`s MOT. Passed :thumbup: Then went straight out on a 75 kms bimble to the powder coaters with a part from my chopper project. My first ride this year. It was glorious :grin:
We`re back in business :grin::thumbup:33

Belted through sun-dappled country lanes on the way to work, wiped off crud from rear wheel & swing arm (recent chain lube!) - baby wipes are wonderful things! General wipe down on arival, polished can, heelplates and bodywork with X-Lite "Bike Spray" cycle cleaner...if that's good enough for my titanium road cycle it's good enough for Big Blue!

Took it for it's e-safety check, passed. noted that it runs hotter with the warren smooth tune in, than it did with MM3.

paid it a visit as it sat on the operating table having it's valve clearances measured. Also dropped off the 6mm silicon hose as the IACV hoses can be replaced while the bikes in bits :thumbup:

Only 3 of the valve clearances were out and not by a huge amount. One of my temporary IACV hoses had kinked slightly, probably when i refitted the air box, so that will have made starting from cold a bit more tricky. The stepper motor was found to be pretty grubby too so that's been cleaned up :thumbup:

Fitted stainless Allen head bolts to the engine cases:smile: They weren't shiny enough when they came out of the packet, so polished each one individually:blush:

What is the quality like?

Would look great on a silver bike. :thumbup:

I'm impressed to be honest. Reasonable price and delivery is quoted at 10 working days (Comes from Germany) but I ordered it last Friday and arrived Wednesday (no one in to take it so trip to the local sorting office).

Just be careful when removing the mountings from the old light :angry:

Later model. The mirrors adjust on a ball joint at the base so you can fold them in. :thumbup:

Stripped all the fairings off her today, and cleaned the frame, and inside the plastics, quite theroputic really! Also ditched the pillion footrests.

Yeah if you could, that's the one I had in mind if I didn't go for the carbon undertray, but the pics on his site aren't great. You like it? Quality good?

Cheers, you're keeping OE indicators then? The undertray kind of piece looks like it really neatens up the underside when it's on the bike in the website pics. I think I'd remove the numberplate light and shift the plate up higher though. You decided against the carbon undertray then?

Comes with removable baffle which is. Only one bolt needed to hold that in place so carrying the baffle and an Allen key under seat just in case ;)

I snapped the throttle cable while trying to find out why the bloody fuel pump wont prime.

cable just snapped in half while twisting the throttle, when i drew it through a nice clean brake in an area covered in rust, Happy it snapped while the bike wasnt moving, i only took it out for a 150 mile trip the other day, if it had gone then it would have been a scary ride.

Marvelled (not in a good way) at how excruciatingly uncomfortable the seat is after 100 miles. Jesus Christ, I couldn't wait to get of fthe damn thing, it was killing me. My knees weren't much better off either.

Oh, and did my first wheelie on it. Accidentally. V uncool it was.
