Took the front callipers off and greased up the pistons.

Took the front master cylinder off and gave up when I couldn't figure out how to strip it down.

Fitted new exhaust (scorpion). Mmmm, sounds lovely.:thumbup:

Started the 24k mile service.......Back wheel off, hub strpped and greased, suspension link arms stripped and greased. Nonthing seized so far! Seems dealers did what they were suppost to! Changed rear brake hose for a new Goodrich one...Cleaning as I go.....Change brake fluid

Next on the menu - forks out for fork oil change, engine oil and filter change, plug change, air filter change and replace IAVC hoses. Then a injectors balance and shim check.............drain, flush, re-fill and bleed the cooling system

Then all I need to do is replace the rear tyre...........

Hi Paul,
Saw you tried to ring me yesterday around 4 PM, sorry but I was riding my bike on my way home.

Yesterday I finally made it to 500 miles, so the bike's ready for the first service and the honeymoon will be over.

I finally met TQ at the H cafe'! Mr TQ was there too, great guy:thumbup:
They took me through some nice roads from the H cafe' to Abingdon, had good fun!

Took the front callipers off and greased up the pistons.

So did I! Also did the brake lever mod, filing down the lever at the brake light end. It was the pistons in the calipers that were crudded up that I believe caused my brake lever to become spongy, especially as only one piston per caliper was moving....

First ride on new S3 over snake pass, what a revelation, its quicker and handles better than my old tonna and I still av'nt been over 6k rev's yet (still running in). Got rid of chicken lines allready, had to do a track day on tona to do that. No aches and pains after two hours in the saddle either.
Think Im in love .

Peppe,

Dale is talking about the strips of un-used tyre on either edge of the tread. The more you lean your bike over, the narrower they'll be

I would suggest that if you've never heard of this term that you do not try and scrub yours off in an attempt to try an impress/keep up with Dale, your obviously a newby and I would hate for it to all go horribly wrong.

I'm teetering on the verge of ordering a set of Gilles myself. I prefer them to the Arrows and they're (to me at least) a lot cheaper. Although powdercoating the stock ones black would be a lot cheaper still, lol..

I've already got the anodised reservoirs on. For me the Gilles at trade discount are a lot cheaper than the Arrows, with them being only available from Triumph. I think the Gilles are nicer anyway.
