Seem to have, I'll need to inspect it properly in daylight. Not particularly happy it's gained 1.1 miles though, I should've specified it wasn't to be taken out at all, I didn't want it doing even 1 mile on salted roads, but I didn't think they'd test ride it just 'cos they'd fitted a brake reservoir.

If he gets too clever I'll send a picture to his phone, TQ, that'll teach him, lol...

And why have Triumph discontinued the rear bodywork finishers? Bloody fat plasterers, what do they know about building bikes anyway? Grrr.

I must admit that most of them were very funny

I found the one were you had dressed up as a native of Bradford and the other were you had spent the whole day carving the word c!$% in big letters out of a block of polystyrene very amusing :lol:

Rode my new beastie to Capn Jaspers for a mug of coffee when a guy looked at my bike and asked if it was mine. I said yeah and he said that was cool as he was the previous owner and had had it from new. He then told me of every single thing that had been done to it and recalls etc.
Has really given me peace of mind now as he loved the bike and is on his 5th Triumph.
Good ride home too although the rain started coming down.
Finally, Dave Death Motorcycle came all the way from Isle of White to take back the blue 1050 and gave me a nice official Triumph/Dave Death Anniversary T shirt with their name and a Union Jack on the back. They thanked me for not kicking off wth all the trouble Ive had.
All in all, a good day:thumbup:

I've looked at the black Triumph Speed Triple ones, but don't like them, too much pull back. The black optional Neken bars for the new shape 1050 look ideal, but they're £84, and i can get black Rizomas for a lot less than that. It's a moot point now anyway.

Went out for a great ride and service the chain.

All so noticed that the sheath covering the wires under the where the handle bar bolts down was cut or cracked. Put some electrical tape over that area and readjusted the wire harness with some wire ties.

The import question: how do you know it is in import? anyway, what you see is a pic from the net that shows what my bike would look like accessories included, my bike has been made in Hinckly... or in the worst case scenario maybe in Thailand by a 9 year old... aren't they outsourcing production over there?

The dealer question: it's Hughuenden M40, I know, I know, and I do agree, but it's the closest to my house and it would have cost me the same anywhere else.
