refitted the tail tidy. This time soldering the indicator and rear light wires and replaced the soft allen bolts with some decent stainless jobbies. This involved and angle grinder! Checked and adjusted my Scottoiler and then took the wife for a short ride

You probably know this but it's much easier o fit a frame to a motor than the other way around. Either that, or you need something like a beer crate. Not sure how much help that would be though as the daytona motor doesn't have a flat bottom.

lifting platforms are useful! (see pic 30/6/09 in my album) I also made a wooden former that's shaped to the underside of the motor so's it sits level and securely on the platform.

Ordered the anodised front and rear brake reservoirs and carbon heatshields. Also am going to send off my pillion peg brackets and heel plates for black anodising in the next few weeks. They are a bugger to keep clean and I think will look better in black

Bike got in the air by lifting the back first, then taking motor out. Lifiting front onto block. Fix motor and install again. This photo is motor sitting there with bolts in holes not done up. Then once done up lifted front section of motor to get blocks out and front now back on the ground. Back still up on stands.
