Pulled into the garage and glanced over at the striple and noticed that one of the bolts that held the handle bar clamp had back all the way out. It was sitting straight up in the air. It apparently did it will I was on a ride and I didn't even notice it even after I parked it. That kind of shuck me up so I proceeded to take a good hard look over the bike. I also noticed that one of the button screws that holds the radiator cowl was missing. WTF. I'll pay more attention from now on. After my ride tonight a gave it a good once over.
Rode mine to my buddies brothers house for a suprise birthday party. On the way I realised how pathetically anemic the lights are. They have just moved up on the never ending to do list.

Put the dayto on the optimate last night as the old girl was a bit sluggish pulling her skirt up when I touched her start button yesterday after months of zero action - just like a woman Also, her indicators, horn and brake lights are - what do you reckon, a fuse?
Pick up my order at the triumph dealer. Disappointed with the order. I ordered what I thought was 4 button screws that fit on the radiator shroud but only got 1 for 4.23. I only needed 1 but really 4.23 for 1 little screw. I felt that I did get screwed.
Spent the morning fannying about trying to fit my new rizoma undertail/ brake light and plate holder and new indicators. Not off to a good start as the wiring connectors don't fit, maybe naive on my part thinking they would. Had to leave it all stripped down in the end. Out with the wire cutters and soldering iron tomorrow
Mmmmm and those new Triumph CNC machined LED indicators (Part No A9830039 - £49.99 could that be for a pair?) they are showing as an accessory fit on the new 2011 Speed Triple look so Rizoma too Media File
Put in new NGK Iridium plugs, Cussed at whoever was in the motor before me using RED lock tight on the damn Coil bolts. Cleaned the air filter, Cussed some more at the dry brakes that didn't.. Replaced the O rings on them as well. Rerouted the crankcase breather hose I'll make a catch can out of 1 1/2" abs tomorrow. Lubed the chain Cleaned parts of the motor no one but me will ever see Put her all back together, fired it up checked for leaks, dislocated my shoulder patting myself on the back and had a
The to do list has shrunk for now. All thats left is;

Were you there this morning SK? - I was there about 12.15 - had a look but left without really forming an opinion - cold, damp winter days aren't much good for that.
We were least an hour after that, I didnt mind it actually, theres some quite nice bits on it, better looking then the pictures, really top heavy, when I putting it back down on the stand I suddenly felt the weight and thought I was gonna drop it hubby liked it though
Fitted a Rizoma undertail with intergrated tail light, new reg plate holder and Avio 21 LED indicators on the rear. Front indicators I'll do when I can be bothered taking the tank off for wiring access.
A real PITA as none of the wiring connectors fitted OEM. So I cut all the OEM fittings off and soldered to the Rizoma stuff leaving the loom untouched. Initially found LED flashers were correct on the left side but too fast on the right side. Cured with an LED relay (which I got from triumphonline), not needed to use the supplied resistors.
pics aren't the best but best I could do at the time. And my bike's filthy because I ride it
