Yeah... Damn bugger has infected me with Kevlarhavetohaveyosis...

Foil boot didn't help either, he got me with a dose of carbonsproketcoverhavetohaveyosis

But it all started with Skrall's carbongearleverhavetohaveyosis...

At least, I'm feeling a little better now...

But the wallet is definitely suffering nearlyemptyosis

Moved it over in the garage so I could get my mates Ninja 636 in as well, bloody rain. He rather unsportingly threw it and himself down the road on Saturday whilst we were out for a spin around Rutland. The Feds wanted 140 to recover and 20 odd quid a day storage as he was being looked after by Peterboroughs finest medical peeps I got my uncle, van and a scaff board, jobs a winner and I'll only charge him half what the feds would have 07

Played with my new chain rivetting tool :tongueout:
Split old chain (utterly f***ed), removed both sprockets (front one doing a passable impression of shark's teeth).
New output bearing oil seal, hopefully no more dribbling.
Shiny new chain & sprockets!
Lurvely

Took it for a test ride. Thunder and deluge ensued, I was therefore compelled to clean the bike. Well, dry it anyway - the coating of hardened flies on the front seem to have gone now

the usual answer to that is "probably". You have a ton of gaskets to replace, plus whatever actually needs fixing, then you put it all back together and it may not even be fixed. Depends what's up and if it's a common fault that the new one would also have.

Rode to Bournemouth and back for a lovely trip to the beach. Found out the there is a very small window of where to hang panniers between the rear footrests (GF came with), (slightly higher) Quill pipe, and the indicators. Good thing they're rubber mounted. That non-slip mate helps a lot too.

39mpg. Reckon once I get the CO sorted it should be at or about 40mpg, I am just loathe to risk going too far lean and damaging it so it can stay a bit stinky of fuel il I can get it done properly.

Quick run round the corner for some Araldite rapide... sorted....

Until...

Tested to make sure everything was OK... Nope.. only one LED bulb was completely working...

Media File

Just spent the last hour in our tech dept here at work resoldering all the joints ... most were broken...
Blimmin hot working over a hot soldering iron

All sorted now ... phew

I got shorter bolts, but there is a big f!$%off gap at the top, bout 1/2 inch , and at the bottom it nearly touchs the frame FFS, and it's genuine Triumph part:frown:
