Here's a very simple little thread for all the trivia you want to share, but may not quite deserve it's own thread. Try not to make it a discussion thread - if it's worth discussing, it's worth its own thread.
Today, I took the rear wheel off my T595 (shaped 955i) for the first time. Mainly to change the rear pads, as I noted they were low when I did my standard "new to me bike" check and clean up of all 3 calipers. It was such a pain to get in there with the wheel on, I thought I'd just pop it off, since I now have a 46mm socket, paddock stand and long breaker bar.
While about it, I also thought it a good idea to clean up all round there. Bit of a surprise, the inside of the swingarm is silver!
Earl was kind enough to send me his top bearing tool, I bought a 36mm flat spanner through eBay, so now I just need to pop into the local bike shop for the bearings. Hopefully do that this weekend or maybe next. Earl will likely rea this, so to you - I'll use your tool to do the job, nip them up as needed maybe 2 weeks later, then send it back.
Also booked in for a TB balance but rafferty's couldn't get it in til 29th May. Ho hum, but he reckons £60 labour which is ok, and hopefully will stop it putting the light on at 115 :-0
So - what did you do to your trumpet today?

Did my valve clearances-well still need to get 6 shims from the main stealer. Also I changed my chain and sprockets. Tomorrow I will be mainly buying shims and fitting rear brake caliper seals.

you did check if you coul just swap any of your existing ones around first, right? Buying six out of twelve seems pretty bad luck.
balanced throttle bodies, uploaded new map using tuneecu, swapped the o rings on the fuel pipes.
quick test ride. pretty good but a little more tweaking of the map required.
I'm not that lucky. I need 4 x 2.65 and 2x2.50. The ones comming out are 4x 2.70 and 2x 2.60-arse!
Good news though. My wife says if I'm really good and do the B&Q battle run for compost and growbags I can change my fork oil.
earl phoned em today . they said was going to get offer by end of this week nothing happened so i called em and 'sorry but cant do anything today ' bastids
Valve clearances done. Balanced throttle bodies and then stripped it all down again as the rocker gasket was leaking. Resealed and seems okay now. Stripped rear caliper down. The seals were all swollen and the pistons were a little stiff. Wife says I have to come in now and cook tea as apparently I would stay all night in the garage if she had not interupted me-for my own good apparently. Whilst eating tea the spectre of the B&Q trip raises it head again.
Ran out of fuel. 22 miles after the light came on, and it just stopped. Bugger. At least it's easy to push. Looking forward to its tune-up at the end of the month.
Tried to make up a tool to loosen the headstock nut..................It didn't work, the pins were too soft Think I'll have to invest in a Triumph one now

with earl's permission I could send you his once I'm done with it? Probably be about 2 weeks.
Tiger
Cleaned it. Sort of.
Well, threw water over it anyway, lubed the chain, checked the oil level (none used since October) then put it back in the garage
Super III
Started it up (eventually)
Ran it to temperature and let it run for 10 mins.
Fixed the dicky kill switch
Put it away again.

Thanks for the offer But I'm in Ireland at the moment and wouldn't want to risk anyone else's stuff with the post
uploaded a new tune but haven't got chance to try it out until tomorrow.
fingers crossed it cures my niggles with low down lack of pull and hesitation around 4k
