My local friendly MOT chap may be a bit lax on exhausts (as long as he can't read"not for road use" he says he doesn't have a db meter) n other minor stuff BUT he'll never let anything slip if he thinks it involves safety. He commented on my lever coming all the way back to the bar. A "watch this" and a quick stoppie at the lights outside his shop convinced him to give a pass albeit with an advisory.
Last year's MOT was at a Triumph dealer, they passed it and it did the same then, known problem?
