I got to 45 years old, woke up one morning and decided I needed some DANGER! in my life, did the DAS course and bought a 'Tona.

I loved the freedom and the 360 degree involvement in the world as others have said, about just getting my leathers on and riding out with a plan to go and see something and think nothing of doing a 200 mile round trip.

Tinkering with my bike and doing my own servicing and repairs is as good sometimes as riding out too.

The fellow biker people you meet when you're out and about on a bike, some are great and have become mates, some are sad and wierd, some have a carefree lifestyle that I often ponder over and reflect upon when the going gets tough in my life.

Discovered touring with my mates through the Alps and Pyrenees was one of the best things in life. Fast bikes, open roads and good company to laugh with in the evenings.

Got my son into bikes too with him on his 600SS Ducati and have had some epic rides with him at home and in Europe too. Having a Bluetooth intercom to chat with him when he's on his bike makes the rides really excellent fun as well.

He and I were featured in RiDE magazine in August 2011 when we rode down Ducati in Bologna 2300 miles via the D roads through France and Italy.

Can't wait to plan my next trip with him and another with my mates
