Salvage bike, repaired and run over 20,000 miles to know its good and bad characteristics....

Now it's time to modify it...

Cylinder head's been skimmed, valves & seals replaced. New cam-chain, ignition & temp sensors to be fitted. Got an oil cooler and bracket to fit. The forks went away today for new springs and re-valving the cartridges and a new aftermarket shock. The seat and sub-frame's going to be converted to a single seat. Air-box to be junked and replaced with conical filters.

Swingarm taken out to check/re-grease bearings. That daft shaft between the rear shock linkages is seized and will need to be pressed out. Head is taken apart, bearings are OK and will be re-greased. Shock has arrived (well made/finished) and forks arrive Monday. Three weeks later and still no head gasket shims...
